My resolve is fading fast… August 21, 2007
or, “Look at all the grey hair I have!”
Back in December, when I moved to Del City, I made a conscious decision to NOT color my hair. I figured if it was meant for me to go grey at 43, then so be it.
Then, I took this picture the other day:

Ick. I’m not ready for this yet. I know there is at least one person who won’t agree. They don’t see the grey hair for whatever reason. For that alone, thank you. You’re a peach!
Some people can carry off the greying hair look. I can’t. My grey hair has a mind of its own, and it’s decided that it’s not going to conform to the dark hair that I still have so much of. I don’t want to look like this guy:
Okay, okay, obviously, I won’t be Albert Einstein… but his hair is what I was talking about. So I might end up coloring my hair again after all. I don’t know. I know that just the act of coloring it won’t keep the wild grey hair tame, but at least it will all look somewhat uniform. I hope.
We all can’t have that distinguished salt-and-pepper look that so many men in my age range have. Why can’t women pull that off? Maybe they can with a lot of trips to a salon, but that costs money and money is something I am woefully short on all the time. In short, my “usual state of financial embarassment”.
I have the box of Colorsilk (or whatever it is) at the ready. When I get ready, I’ll break down, admit I’m weak, then go for it.
Or not.
That’s all from where I sit.

Thanx 4 peeking… you know I was talking about you, don’t you?

Heads up
Grey = awesomeness (at least for me)
So how’s it going after a few month? Already dyed your hair? You did it as a tough person or break down first?:p
Nope… it’s still greying. I’ve kinda gotten used to it now. Thanks for stopping by!
