“For Sale: baby shoes. Never used.” August 27, 2007
Ernest Hemingway won a writing competition with that line. A six word short story. Kinda sad if you think about it.
So that gave my English Comp II prof the idea to assign that to our class for Wednesday. Write a six word short story. Not as easy as it sounds.
So far, all I’ve been able to come up with are these, and they aren’t mine:
“Welcome all to my disciplined breakdown.” (Collective Soul lyrics)
“We were hungry in Moscow, Soviet.” (the punchline to an old joke from a long dead comedian)
Still have to plug away at that. It’s due Wednesday. I’ll think of something.
I hope.
That’s all from where I sit.
