The way things stand now… May 9, 2008
final grades wise, if I get a perfect score on my Oceanography paper (the one I’d been working on all semester), I will miss getting an “A” by FOUR POINTS!
I should have made the time to watch the one video I didn’t see. But if it was unavailable, how could I? It was pretty popular there the last month of the semester or so. I was lucky to see the one on the cuttlefish. That video was pretty popular, too.
If (by some miracle) I get the “A”… my GPA will be 3.5
If I get a “B” (for the lack of four points!)… my GPA will be 3.25
Granted, neither one is bad. I’ve been consistent throughout my academic career at Rose State. I’ll still make the honor roll. But the 3.5 would be the best GPA I’ve ever had at any school (not counting broadcasting school, because if you do all the work, it’s almost certain you’ll get a good grade).
It would also qualify me for Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for junior colleges. Since I’ve already graduated, I doubt I’ll be asked to join.
That is, IF I get a perfect score on the research paper. And miracles work in my favor.
I’m almost kinda hoping I don’t. I’d rather have a solid “B” than miss an “A” by four points. And I seriously doubt that Dr. Graham is going to give me four free points so I can say I got an “A” in the class. The “B” would be better than the “C” I got in her History of Life on Earth class last fall.
Her classes aren’t cakewalks by any stretch of the imagination.
So, c’mon, Dr. Graham… post the scores for the research paper so I can quit worrying about those damn four points!
Better get to bed. Chaz is supposed to pick me up in the morning to take me over to Rose for my last workstudy paycheck, sell back some books, and go up to UCO.
That’s all from where I sit.
