You have to check out this story I found over on Yahoo! News (and why this is news is beyond me).
Starts out harmlessly enough… Japanese zoo puts together a couple of polar bears for the purpose of increasing the polar bear population by at least one. After several months of nothing, zoo officials wonder why there is no “chemistry” between the two.
Turns out that both polar bears are female!
The “boy” polar bear was identified as such when “he” was three months old. “He” is now four.
“I have mixed feelings,” Yoshio Yamaguchi, head of the zoo, said.
Mixed feelings about what? That you can’t tell a boy polar bear from a girl polar bear? Even when you supposedly checked?
DUH?!
Boy, if that polar bear could talk… I wonder if she’d say “But wait, I’m a girl!”
