Thanksgiving.
Every year, we’re all asked what we are thankful for. Every year, I say the same thing.
I thought I might change it up this year.
Of course, I am thankful for my health, my family and my friends.
But, I am also thankful for the opportunity to get an education, for the priveledge of making my voice heard via my vote in this most recent election, to have a roof over my head, food to eat and clothes to wear.
I am thankful that I live in the United States of America, despite the fact that the outgoing President is a major screw up. Perhaps real change is coming in the person of a 47 year old African American man from Chicago. Only time will tell.
And, I am thankful for the men and women of our armed forces far away from home this Thankgiving who are not able to spend this day with their loved ones. If you come across someone who served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, thank them for their service.
What are you thankful for? Leave me a comment if you wish.
That’s all from where I sit.
