I generally don’t make New Year’s resolutions, because I know I’ll never keep them. So all that resolving to either 1) lose weight, 2) watch what I eat, and/or 3) exercise more doesn’t do me a lick of good. If I do those things because I want to, that’s a lot better than having to do them because I made some stupid resolution on January 1st.
The only thing I do have control over (and even that’s debatable) is me. So I further resolve to continue being the best Stef I know how to be. But, being human, I know that at times I will falter. That’s what forgiveness (especially forgiving myself) is for.
