so if this post makes no sense whatsoever, that’s why.
The day didn’t start out promising. I called the cab as soon as I woke up and asked to be picked up at 8:15am.
At 8:15, no cab. I call and am told that it’s “the first of the month” and that they’re running behind. Think they could have told me this when I called in at 6:55am?
At 8:30, no cab. I call my workstudy supervisor’s office and tell the receptionist that I’m running late, I’ll get there as soon as I can.
At 8:45, still no cab, and I’m getting really annoyed. I call the cab company back and am told that they’ll try to get one out to me soon. I asked if “time calls” (a request to be picked up at a certain time) took priority over those who call in wanting a cab when it got there, and I was told, yes. I then asked to be transfered to their customer service company. I get some guy’s voice mail, and I leave a message with my cell number and a request to call me back to discuss this issue. I’ve yet to hear from anyone.
At 9:00, I call workstudy back and say that I might not make it. At this point, I would be lucky if I got to my first class on time. I emailed my supervisor to let him know that I probably won’t be in.
At 9:20, the cab finally shows up, and the driver is someone I’ve ridden with before. I get to school and go to workstudy. I’m an hour late.
The rest of the day has been better so far.
I have really no homework in my Tues./Thurs. classes. Read the last three chapters in the first History of Life text and bone up on the stuff that will be on the first lecture test in two weeks. In Photograpy, finish shooting my depth of field assignment and be ready to develope film on Tuesday.
I do, however, have the rest of my math homework, and an outline due in Comp II. And sometime over the weekend, finish a video project.
My life, it’s never dull. Busy yes; dull, no. I need some good surprises. Not the kind that involve my car (that’s a whole other post *sigh*).
That’s all from where I sit.
